Our Story
MedCline was founded in 2011 by Dr. Carl Melcher, a respected physician and former professor of medicine at the University of San Diego, after being diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus, a potential precursor to esophageal cancer.
Convinced that positional therapy, applied correctly, could be a more natural and effective treatment option for reducing disease symptoms and relieving pain, he created his own patented solution: the MedCline Reflux Relief System.
Since then, the MedCline Shoulder Relief System, very similar in design, has been developed to meet the needs of people suffering from chronic shoulder pain at night.

J'ai bataillé les premières nuits. En effet passer le bras dans l'encoche supérieure pour moi qui suis un petit gabarit qui change de position la nuit, n'est pas idéal. En revanche je l'ai immédiatement trouvé très très confortable. 1ere nuit, évidemment j'ai glissé, 2eme nuit aussi. Puis petit à petit j'ai trouvé ma position : le bras sous le traversin, l'arrière bien serré contre moi et revenant dans le creux des jambes. Et enfin plus de glissades. Et plus de retournements. Plus du tout de reflux. Une position idéale après l'opération (fundoplicature de Nissen). Moi qui n'arrivait jamais à m'endormir du côté gauche (alors que c'est ce qu'il faut pour le reflux), c'est devenu un jeu d'enfant. Et cerise sur le gâteau, le fait d'être dans un cocon bien moelleux je m'endors et dors comme un bébé en quelques minutes. Et ça c'est formidable et inédit.
Un succès total donc, mais avec un petit bémol : le dispositif prend beaucoup de place le jour . Je le glisse donc ailleurs pour retrouver un joli lit et ses oreillers le jour.
Ps : le traversin cale parfaitement et peut servir en cas d'opération ventre ou poitrine pour aider à dormir sur le dos sans tourner. En cette fin d'octobre rose, peut-être une idée à réfléchir ?

Efficace pour les reflux gastriques, et soulage aussi les pressions sur l'épaule . Il faut une période d'adaptation pour s'habituer ou trouver la position qui convient. L'oreiller de corps est confortable. L'ensemble est toutefois un peu encombrant si on manque de place dans sa chambre. Mais les bienfaits de l'ensemble font vite oublier cet inconvénient.

I needed some time to accomodate to body pillow and generally to evevated body corpus (abt. 1 week). I feel symptoms relief, hovewer very importand is that I finish eating 4 hrs before Night Sleep.
I have severe Sleep Apnea dispite my BMI is not high (light overweight) and I’m fit (family case - both patents with Sleep Apnea). Im using CPAP since 8 years and left side body position is perfect. Generally I recommend using it and I do not recommend to consume any kind of alcohol any time with reflux symptoms.
Very importand is also to exercice. In my case swimming is the best tool to improve Sleep Quality together with MedCline and improve breating pathern during sleeping (to activate diapharm).

Cela nécessite un temps d’adaptation, trouver ces marques mais il faut reconnaître que depuis que je l’ai les réveillés au matin son beaucoup moins acide. Plus les yeux qui piquent et plus la gorge qui brûle. Je l’ai adopté 👍🏻🌈
